Wireless Standards to Enable Broadband

Computers nowadays are mainly used by our law enforcements in providing voice services mainly to provide them narrowband mobile data. This network services have provided the authorities a good performance for a long period of time, but as what is says everything changes and when something change a new problem and changes arises which needs a solution to the problem. With this, the concerned authorities have come up a solution and this is to have a standard bases in enabling broadband. Having Broadband standards will enable interoperability, reduce equipment costs and enable competition and improve functionality. Proposed key standards are IMT-2000, IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards, Network Type Range Data Rate Mobility, and Project Mesa (Mobility for Emergency and Safety Applications). They have proposed good key standards and I do agree with them in having standards to Enable Broadband. So that our law enforcement can have more efficient equipment that will help them makes their work faster, easier and more reliable. Surely these new standards will be another cost of budget but, if it would be for the better then why not. But it would be great if they would conduct more test and researches about these standards so that they can utilize and avoid encountering more problems in the near future.

I think it would be nice to know that wireless network do help our law enforcement. Like what we can see on the movies and televisions, they use wireless communication to find criminals and terrorist!.
I hope that it would be implemented here in our country too...--,)
