What should be your choice Research Topic

As a CS student I do believe that it is better to have research topics that are in line with our course. Topics, that has something to do with technology, as a whole. It should be on how, why, when and where can we use technology in order to produce something that would be useful to everyone. But, the topic should also consider the social concerns and not only focus on the technical aspects. With this, "We" as a student would have the chance to showcase what we have learned and would be given the opportunity to be able to contribute something for the welfare of the many. Although, conducting a research is not an easy task, but, with perseverance, patience and good time management hopefully everything would turn into a success.(so help us god)

I agree with you skrittles_den that we have to make use of our course with conducting a research.

Your are correct skrittles_den that research should also be concerned with social aspect not only in one side. As a whole, IT still remains in the core of the study.

I guess your choice of topic will be of your interest, in line with your discipline (especially if it concerns your degree program requirements), relevant, and you should consider impact of your study to yourself, to your fellowmen, and to your society.
And of course, it should not end in perceiving your topic, the conduct and result of your research are as equally important. You should not end with your Research topic.
